Privacy policy
This policy explains how LedgerShore (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through ledgershore.com. It does not cover data we process for clients under an engagement; that is governed by the engagement letter and any data processing agreement we sign with you.
Who is responsible
LedgerShore, based in India, is responsible for this website and the personal information collected through it. Contact us at utkarsh@ledgershore.com.
Concerns or complaints about how we handle your information can be sent to the same address. We respond to grievances within the time required by law.
What we collect
When you send an inquiry
Your name, work email, company name, country, the type of organisation you represent, the services you’re interested in, the software you use, approximate size, when you want to start, your message, your phone number if you give it, how you heard about us, and your consent to be contacted.
We also record the first page you visited on this site and any campaign tags in the link that brought you here (for example utm_source), so we know which pages and campaigns are useful. Please don’t send client financial data through the form.
When you book a call
Your name, email, the time you choose and your answers to the booking questions, collected by our scheduling provider.
When you browse
Our hosting provider processes standard request data (IP address, browser and pages requested) to deliver the site securely. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. See Cookies below.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry, arrange calls and prepare a scope or proposal. We rely on your consent and on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To send documents you asked for, such as a sample report pack or security overview.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site, using analytics only with your consent.
- To keep the website secure and meet legal obligations.
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
Service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): website hosting and privacy-friendly visitor statistics
- Web3Forms (form delivery to our inbox)
- Google LLC (Google Workspace): email and calendar
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
International transfers
We are based in India and some of our providers are based in the United States. Where personal information from the UK, EU or other regions is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.
How long we keep it
If we don’t start working together, we delete inquiry details once we no longer need them to answer your inquiry. If we do, your details become part of the client record and are kept for as long as the engagement and our legal record-keeping obligations require.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for a copy in a portable format, or withdraw consent at any time. Email utkarsh@ledgershore.com and we’ll respond within the time the law allows.
You can also complain to a regulator, for example the Data Protection Board of India, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or your local data protection authority in the EU.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site sets no cookies. Our visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) work without cookies. The site keeps these small items in your own browser:
- The first page of your visit and any campaign tags, attached to your inquiry if you send one (session storage, cleared when you close the tab).
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
